This is further to BSE circular no. 20100929-13 dated Sept 29th 2010 regarding ‘Introduction of Smart Order Routing’.
The aforementioned circular is revised as per SEBI issued addendum (reference CIR/MRD/DP/ 36 /2010).
- Member shall communicate to all clients the features, possible risks, rights, responsibilities and liabilities associated with the smart order routing facility by way of an addendum to existing member-client agreement; where applicable
- All order types are permitted. The choice of order type is with the client
- BSE shall communicate its decision to the member within 30 calendar days from the date of receipt of complete application. Further, testing and demonstration of SOR system/software, if required, shall be suitably scheduled within the aforesaid period of 30 calendar days
- In case of rejection of the application on smart order routing, BSE shall communicate such reasons of rejections to the member and to all the other stock exchanges where the members' SOR facility intends to route orders
- Approved SOR Members can avail SOR facility through any of their servers irrespective of their server location in India, including data-centers and exchange co-locational facilities
