WIW, a global campaign initiated by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) being celebrated by SEBI and all MIIs from October 14 to 20 in India, aims to enhance investor knowledge, promote responsible investing, and foster a financially literate society. The theme for this year is ‘Technology and Digital Finance’ with a sub theme of ‘How to prevent cybercrimes and online frauds.’
As part of the celebrations, BSE is organizing a range of activities across digital, print and physical mediums to reach a wider base of investors. The exchange is conducting a nationwide quiz for investors and public, interesting jingle creating and storytelling competitions on the theme of WIW.
Other activities included a series of street plays at various public locations in Madhya Pradesh (Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain) and Nagpur to caution investors against getting lured or coerced into being victims of cybercrimes and frauds. An interesting social media campaign is focussed on the Nava Rasas (nine emotional states of mind) that affect investment decisions.
Continuing its tradition, BSE has illuminated its iconic building throughout the week-long celebrations, adorning it with the WIW Banner, SEBI and BSE logos, serving as a symbol of our commitment to investor education and awareness.
