Privacy Policy for BSE StAR MF Mobility Application
For the purpose of this Privacy Policy, wherever the context so mentions “Users/User”, “Persons”, "You" or "Your”, it shall mean any natural or legal person who has visited and/or uses the BSE StARMF Mobility Application (hereinafter referred to as “Application/ App”).
The term “Client” shall mean the customers/ clients of the User whose information is shared by the User on the App.
The term "We", "Us" and "Our" shall mean BSE Limited which owns BSE StAR MF website and the Application (hereinafter referred to as “BSE”/ “BSE StAR MF”).
The User agrees to BSE StAR MF collecting and processing Personal Data provided by the User in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Legal or contractual duties to maintain confidentiality to which BSE StAR MF is subject in relation to the User's/ Client’s Personal Data are not affected by this Privacy Policy.
By mere use of our App, you expressly consent to our collecting, using, processing and disclosing of information including Personal Data provided by You in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and subject to the Terms of Use. BSE StAR MF may amend this Privacy Policy unilaterally at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the revised Privacy Policy or as determined by BSE StAR MF from time to time.
What information we collect:
A. Registration information / Use of App:
When You sign up / register for an account with BSE StAR MF through the App or use the App, You will be asked for information pertaining to the User/ Client such as name, tax status, gender, date of birth, occupation, nature of holding, PAN details of User, address, contact information, Know Your Customer (KYC) information of User/ Client, password, financial information such as account type, account number and IFSC Code, for registering and authenticating the User/ Client details and/ or using the App either by text input or by uploading images/documents in the specified format. The information in form of text and upload of images/ documents shall be governed in accordance with this Policy.
B. For compliance with Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA):
As a part of compliance with FATCA requirements, the User may also be asked to provide the following information of the Client/ User such as place of birth, country of birth, tax payer identification number, source of wealth, income, net worth, date of net worth, occupation type, details of sponsoring entity and Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) information. Kindly note that the information provided hereinabove is not exhaustive.
C. For mandate registration:
For the purpose of registration mandate on App, User may be asked to provide the Client code, type of mandate and bank account details.
We collect Personal Information and Data from You only when You voluntarily use the App and the services provided therein. This App may require access to your device's camera for features such as document uploads or user verification.
D. Collection and usage of information in form of Images/ documents:
BSE Star MF may require the User to upload images/ documents pertaining to the Account opening, FATCA compliance proofs and KYC compliance. The same is required to enable the User to access the services of the App.
E. User-generated content:
We may also collect and store the information you provide to us when using our service.
F. The way you use our service:
We may collect information about how you use and interact with the App.
G. Device information:
When you download or use the App, we may receive information about Your device, which allows us to enable seamless App login by setting up a pin, provide increased account security and regulatory compliance.
H. Other information:
We may request or receive other information such as feedback, questions, comments, suggestions, or ideas to provide you with other benefits or to improve upon the service.

- For improving the quality of its products and services.
- technical management as well as research and further development of the App.
- User administration and marketing.
- User information on the services and products rendered by BSE, provided the User has given their consent for this.
BSE StAR MF uses/processes the information provided by the User for the following purposes in particular:
- Providing the User the access to App and use the features / facility provided therein.
- For improving the quality of its services.
- Technical management as well as research and further development of the App.
- User administration and marketing.
- User information on the services and products rendered by BSE, provided the User has given their consent for this.
BSE StAR MF may collect, use, store, process and disclose such information as required for providing access to the App or as required by the law, and / or as directed by the regulators and for such further regulatory, audit, and business purposes as it may deem fit, in accordance with the extant requirements.

J. Protection of information:
Any User who authorizes BSE StAR MF to access their/its Personal Data as defined in this Privacy Policy will be made aware of the data security and data protection implications.
BSE StAR MF protects Personal Data with appropriate physical, electronic and process-related security measures, such as firewalls, personal passwords, encoding and authentication technologies. Personal Data collected via the App will be encrypted and the images/ documents uploaded on the App are also encrypted using a Base64 string.
K. Disclosure and sharing of information:
The User authorizes BSE StAR MF to process and transmit Personal Data provided by the User to employees, agents or other third parties within or outside the country where the User lives in order to provide services and for the purposes indicated above. Employees, agents and other third parties which have access to Personal Data are required by BSE to ensure compliance with all applicable data protection provisions.
BSE StAR MF reserves the right to disclose Personal Data provided by the User to regulatory and supervisory, legal authorities, as well as, pursuant to this Privacy Policy, to analysis service providers, group companies, data processors, banks, financial institutions, credit bureaus, telecommunication companies. In so doing, BSE StAR MF will reasonably comply at all times with applicable laws. It may become necessary for us to disclose the Personal Data provided by the User to our agents in the course of normal business operations. BSE StAR MF reserves the right to disclose the Personal Data provided by you to any third party that makes a legally compliant request for disclosure.
L. Information on processed Personal Data:
Users whose Personal Data is processed within the scope of this Privacy Policy have the following rights:
To receive information on whether BSE StAR MF may save Personal Data and what form this Personal Data may take (which categories of data, recipients or categories of recipients, retention periods for Personal Data or criteria governing retention periods)
- to receive a copy of the Personal Data
- to request the rectification of Personal Data if it is incorrect
- to request the deletion of Personal Data
- to request restrictions on processing Personal Data
- to receive Personal Data in a structured, accessible and machine-readable format
- to submit an objection to processing, especially for the purpose of direct advertising
The rights specified above may be denied or restricted if the interests, rights and freedoms of third parties take precedence or if processing is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims of BSE or if the User has failed to provide requisite information.

- User who has consented for collection of Personal Data, shall have the right to withdraw his or her consent at any time. However, such withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of data processing based on consent given before its withdrawal. This must be communicated to the Data Protection Office of BSE. BSE may seek such additional information as may be required by the applicable laws/ government/ regulatory/ statutory authorities.

Although, suitable steps are taken to maintain the security of Personal Information we gather from you. Under no circumstances shall BSE be liable to you or any other third parties for any loss or damage (including, without limitation, damage for loss of business or loss of profits) arising directly or indirectly from your use of or inability to use, this site or any of the material contained in it or wrongful use of the Personal Information by any entity. BSE assumes no responsibility for any false, inaccurate, inappropriate or incomplete information presented on the website. Further, BSE shall in no manner be liable for any violation of data, if the data a) is in public domain; or b) is a result of any illegal and unlawful misuse by the User. - Public Data
